ABSTRACT

In concluding this book on the American superintendency, we have been through several iterations to work to the best approximation we could in order to ‘capture’ our work as it has evolved. Given that the R&D work at the University of Texas at Austin is now but one part of the work being conducted by a network of six pilot sites — the prototype of the National Executive Development Center — the perspective presented in this volume forms only a partial picture of the overall design for the future of a national center.
