ABSTRACT

Securing sustainable and affordable access to digital services in schools is a fundamental, yet intractable step into the twenty-fi rst century for any national school education service. No education plan for an e-school can be sustained without connected infrastructure. An e-school needs enough reliable networked devices, with high speed Internet connection, to enable teachers to make technology their personal, professional tool and for learners to have equal ease of access for signifi cant times during the school day. No plan, no matter how visionary, to deploy technology in addressing goals, improving learning and building economic resilience, can move forward until that foundation is in place.
