ABSTRACT

In considering an approach to the education of our most gifted science students, it is worth noting that these pupils may experience needs alongside their strengths. Awareness and understanding of these needs is a key factor in helping such pupils to fulfil their potential. These pupils may find themselves experiencing a range of difficulties:

● Isolation from their peers as a result of their strengths or as a result of being seen to be different. In addition, pupils may feel isolated in their skill. It is important for both enjoyment and development for pupils to meet their likeminded peers and/or mentors.
