ABSTRACT
In this chapter we will consider how to develop children’s confidence to create and respond to stories. We will consider the National Curriculum (DfEE 2000) and the NLS Framework for Teaching (DFEE 1998) and consider how to ensure that the love of stories so vibrant in the Early Years is continued into Year 1 and Year 2.
