ABSTRACT
Anyone who wants to make teaching his/her profession is faced with two fundamental questions. The first is 'What does a person need to know in order to become a tutor?' The second is 'How is this knowledge achieved?' In the first part of this chapter these two questions are explored and practical suggestions are made for going about learning to teach; in the second part, some teaching methods are described.
