ABSTRACT
Because the prostate surrounds the urethra, patients who have prostatic diseases most frequently complain of micturition-related symptoms. These have been subdivided into irritative (storage) and obstructive (voiding) symptoms. Irritative symptoms have the most impact on the patient’s quality of life.
