Teachers as Researchers/Action Research

Over the decades various writers have argued that teachers should do their own classroom research. Various terms have been used such as ‘teachers as researchers’ and ‘action research’. Advocates of these approaches suggest that teachers must use the results of their own inquiries to change and improve their practices.
