ABSTRACT
In this chapter, the impact of sirolimus-eluting stents on the outcomes of patients treated in the ‘real world’ of interventional cardiology is analyzed. The safety and the effectiveness of a strategy of unrestrictive utilization of sirolimus-eluting stent is compared to a strategy utilizing conventional bare stent implantation.
