ABSTRACT
Interossei There are three plantar interossei which lie below the metatarsals and f our dorsal interossei which arise from metatarsals and lie between them. Plantar interossei adduct the lateral three toes towards second toe, whereas the dorsal interossei abduct them from midline of the second toe. They also assist in flexing the metatarsophalangeal joints and extending the interphalangeal joints.
