ABSTRACT
The purpose of this chapter is to review the various techniques for preoperative and intraoperative sentinel lymph node identification. A firm understanding of the definition of a sentinel node and technical aspects of lymphatic mapping will lead to increased success in the operating room and improved outcomes for patients.
