ABSTRACT

In this chapter we describe three local health services that are relevant to the operation of a service for younger people with dementia. The first, described by Sean Page, is the Memory Clinic, a resource previously only available in a few teaching centres but now seen increasingly as part of the strategic development of local services for dementia. The second has been discussed in Chapter 2, and is the Cerebral Function Unit and the third the local Old Age Psychiatry Service. Both of these are described by Robert Baldwin.
