ABSTRACT
The growth of statin usage is almost exponential at present. In
addition, new, even more powerful, statins are scheduled for launch
in the next couple of years. Statins are being proposed for other
therapeutic targets such as stroke and diabetes, but there remain
many unanswered questions about the appropriate use of statins
even in patients at risk of CHD. This section will take a forward look
at these issues.
