ABOUT PEDIATRIC ILLNESS Every year, thousands of children are hospitalized with a variety of chronic and life-threatening health concerns. Families suffer with their sick children, and health care professionals work to provide both the child and family members with the most responsive care possible. Most would agree that a sick child pulls at the emotional fabric of families and engenders a sympathetic response from everyone.
