ABSTRACT
It is both an honour and a pleasure to contribute the keynote paper to this publication, marking the launch of “Connect”, the Communication Disability Network, for this is a truly significant occasion in the history of aphasiology. It is an important occasion especially for those of us who are part of that history, because of our commitment to the well-being of those with aphasia and their families.
