ABSTRACT
Deb Soule is an herbalist, organic gardener, teacher, founder of the herbal apothecary Avena Botanicals, as well as the author of The Roots of Healing: A Woman’s Book of Herbs (1995). She grew up in the western foothills of Maine where she first began gardening and learning to identify the wild plants growing in her backyard.
