ABSTRACT

The inner me is not simply the source of the objectives, it is also an executor of various bodily functions, including movement; so the inner me provides the impetus, then the outer me thinks up the action, and then the inner me takes over the execution of the action. This is a perfect combination in that the outer me is a specialist whose job it is to convert intention into action, to think up how best to do things. It need not concern itself with how the action is executed.
