ABSTRACT

The single most revolutionary principle of the psychotherapy of dissociative schizophrenia is talking to the voices. A person with schizophrenia may lack the motivation, resources, social support, physical health, or other motivators and requirements for the hard work of psychotherapy. Paradigm shift is a term coined by Thomas Kuhn to describe discontinuous shifts in the advancement of science. The decision to engage the voices in a therapeutic conversation initiates a cascade of electromagnetic reorganization in the brain-mind field that is detectable on EEG, assuming a sensitive enough gauge. The chapter further predicts that a traumatized individual can repair the biological damage caused by the genetically normal trauma response through psychotherapy; in the therapy of dissociative identity disorder( DID), techniques to enhance communication, cooperation, and integration of function among alter personalities also train damaged hippocampal neurons to communicate effectively in a subtle, functional, psychologically meaningful fashion.
