ABSTRACT
The map of development is the same as for biological and historical development. It continues to be organised around three main dimensions: Marx’s four levels in the organisation of production, adapted for the child (Figure 4.1); motivation; relations between the inner world and the outer. Each of these dimensions has some impact on the others. For instance, a different form of motivation exists at all four steps in the levels.
