ABSTRACT

Drawing Together is a research project that has investigated the development of communicative drawing in a group of seven people with severe, long-term aphasia (Sacchett, Byng, Marshall, & Pound, 1999). The overall results of the project were very encouraging. In the group as a whole,

significant improvcmcnts were documented in subjects' ability to draw '"generatively'" (i.e. from memory), which is one of the prerequisites of communicative drawing.
