ABSTRACT
This relatively rare cancer usually affects older women. As with all cancers, treatment depends primarily upon the stage of the disease when the diagnosis is made. The disease usually responds poorly to radiotherapy and treatment is usually by radical vulvectomy. The operation is a major procedure for an elderly woman and the probability of successful outcome must be carefully balanced against the surgical morbidity.
