ABSTRACT

Some women will have a normal, regular cycle as short as 23 days. They can be reassured that this is of no significance so long as the bleeding is not excessively heavy (frequent periods often tend to be rather light). If the woman wishes to conceive, it may be worth pointing out that ovulation usually occurs about 14 days before the next period which, in a 23 days cycle, means day 9 or perhaps 10 of the cycle.
