ABSTRACT
Once the diagnosis is made, the woman should receive a detailed explanation of the condition with particular emphasis on the extent to which she herself is affected. The information should be provided in a relaxed and unhurried fashion and the woman should be given the opportunity of asking questions. Leaflets and diagrams are often very helpful. The implication for her future fertility is an important aspect in many cases.
