ABSTRACT
This operation was performed by the creation of a suitable opening in the back of the broad ligament and burying the ovary between the two leaves of that structure thereby placing the ovaries outside the peritoneal cavity and preventing the tubes from picking up the released ova. This was intended to allow easy reversal by simply bringing the ovaries out from under the peritoneum again.
