ABSTRACT
One of the real accomplishments during Chris Code’s tenure as Editor in Chief of Aphasiology: An International and Interdisciplinary Journal has been his consistent advocacy of psychosocial issues and social models of aphasia treatment. This chapter is intended to advance his efforts and those of numerous other social scientists in clinical aphasiology by advocating a more direct focus on interactional aphasiology as a sub-discipline of clinical aphasiology.
