ABSTRACT

The scope of Chris Code’s contributions to neurolinguistics, and especially aphasiology, has been vast. Both as a scientist and as an enabler, through the journal Aphasiology, he has enhanced what we know about both right and left hemisphere language processing, and how to influence it through treatment. He has also been very open to the importance of the so called “softer sides,” that is our understanding of discourse and pragmatics and, finally, the psychosocial issues that surround negative changes in normal language functioning. This chapter has been written to honor that part of his enormous influence on the field.
