ABSTRACT
When condensation occurs in a tube, convective effects that do not exist in vapor space condensation occur. The convective effects are associated with the influence of shear stress on the liquid–vapor interface. Further, if gravity force exceeds vapor shear forces, the liquid phase will tend to stratify in horizontal tubes.
