ABSTRACT

This chapter provides an approach to instructional planning that is consistent with social constructivist and inquiry approaches that can foster meaningful, relevant, and complex learning. However, planning instruction can occur in many different ways. There is much room for creativity. As you plan instruction, you need to be sensitive to your own style of working and teaching, your knowledge of the students, and your own understandings of the topic. Therefore, you should feel free to adapt the approach suggested in this chapter to your own particular needs.
