ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we are going to investigate how language encodes spatial concepts. We have already discussed space to a certain extent in our considerations of the spatial structure of entities (chap. 3), motion events (chap. 4) and spatial thematic roles (chap. 5). Here, we go into spatial notions in much more detail, focusing on location and deixis.
