ABSTRACT
When I started this project, I had a hunch that women’s disavowed aggressive energies were often embedded in their performance of gendered identity. That idea forms the basis of this chapter, and in order to provide a context for developing it, I need to introduce some theoretical elements. These elements are then used to explore the comments of the women contributors who wrote about body, movement, visibility and clothes.
