ABSTRACT

In the year 2000, I received an invitation from the African Studies Program at Baylor University and the Friends of Jung in Waco, Texas, to be a speaker in the John N. Jonsson Peace and Justice Lecture Series. The theme of the lecture series that year was “Black Africa in the White Psyche: Jung’s Contribution to Multiculturalism.” This chapter, with some revisions, is the presentation that I delivered on that occasion.
