ABSTRACT

I have attempted in this book to provide a theoretical framework, examples of practice and research results, to make a case for the effective practice of dramatherapy and psychodrama with people who hear voices or have psychotic experiences. This work is complex, difficult and can be, indeed often is, frightening and disturbing for the therapist. In this final chapter I therefore offer guidelines for good practice to provide a foundation for the work, focusing first on the therapist and then on the work with the clients.
