ABSTRACT

Right now you may be sitting down to this chapter, in your office, at home, while working, or in any of several possible ways. Now move ahead to the future; you may be sitting down to this book printed in hardcopy, or perhaps reviewing the process of writing this chapter on a CDI system, or even interacting with a network of researchers, furthering the discussion through your computer screen, or on one of a thousand future cable channels. Such alternatives illustrate the innovative possibilities that technology brings to life. Information previously presented in static form, bounded in time, can potentially continue to generate ideas in a dynamic format, which changes with time. The possibilities are endless; identifying which products are needed, desired, and marketable is a challenge for product development teams to confront.
