ABSTRACT
Social Caring is a process in which children learn how they should be with others. The Golden Rule, in a simply stated moral imperative, teaches children the value of treating others as they themselves would like to be treated. Stated yet another way, social caring represents the attitudes, information, and skills children learn that enable them to participate in social relations and social service while promoting social justice and responsible social change (Pittman & Cahill, 1992).
