ABSTRACT

It is the author's observation that many public relations graduates find themselves under consideration for positions with nonprofit organizations; those with some experience in writing appeal letters often find it to be the decisive factor in obtaining a job offer. In Exercise 13.3 students prepare various aspects of an appeal letter. Exercise 13.4 is an editing activity in which students prepare both the text and the typographical presentation. Exercise 13.5leads students to complete the appeal package with a follow-up letter acknowledging contributions.
