ABSTRACT

Chapter 14: Public Relations Advertising Chapter 14 begins with an overview of the concept of creativity, based on the premise that everyone is a creative being, with variations only in the ease and effectiveness with which an individual taps into his or her creativity. Exercises 14.1 is a freewrite that provides a basis for class discussion about students' recognition of the depth of their own creativity. The chapter also introduces students to various techniques that are used in nurturing creative results for a variety of professional problem-solving situations. Exercises 14.2 and 14.3 are applications of some of those techniques. The author usually provides students with a snack-sized candy bar such as a peanut butter cup for them to write "to."
