ABSTRACT
As we saw in Chapter 2, myths and stereotypes can foster the establishment of ideals and illusions and, thereby, unrealistic expectations for males and females about sex, love, and romance. Through these stereotypes; the mass media socialize us into specific roles and rituals, thus unnecessarily and tragically limiting our human capacity.
