ABSTRACT

Teaching can do many things for paying the rent to getting better contacts for more professional work. An environment where the very thing wants to be involved with is the meat and drink of the department and that must be better than certain offices. Things go wrong when the teacher resents any success the pupils have or tries to outshine them in any exercise. But they go right when, as a group, they explore and advance their knowledge of the craft of acting. Very often the establishment teach for will have a policy of following one form of theatre rules or another, and that can be interesting. Applying principles that are not quite convinced about can sharpen and refine the work. The good thing is that are still working in the business of acting, still studying texts, and working on acting solutions, and as identify and cure problems in others, will find these efforts have the same effect.
