ABSTRACT
Something done with bad taste is something done just for effect or to shock, annoy, or just get a belly laugh. These are moments that stand out as chosen by the person playing the role, rather than something his character would want and need to do and they come across as bad taste. Just as there is a difference on the screen between the full bloody violence in all its gore and shots that imply the violence without indulging in it, so in acting there is a difference between being completely explicit, which allows for only one interpretation, and being implicit, which allows the audience members to create some of their own images and ideas. In other words, a double entendre would be in good taste, but a single one would be in bad taste. For example: MR. Horner is exactly that and Shakespeare: Wordplay.
