ABSTRACT

Many of the skills required for acting a role, such as remembering lines, observing character, having attention to detail, and so forth, can be used to full effect in these other jobs. Other jobs, such as being a demonstrator, operating with market research, or being a tour guide, all require acting skills and can bring in a tidy income as well. They are a wonderful way of getting in touch with entertaining an audience, especially if actors have not been able to do the training they wished they had. Actor's need to have very good communication skills and be able to speak in public and show an interest in people, finding out their likes and dislikes, even adapting actors accent and personality to put people at ease. In other words, these other jobs will have actors playing a part with guidelines but not a set script, all good elements of performing that can only enhance their next real acting role.
