ABSTRACT

There could be a hidden idea that is submerged inside actor's struggling to get out, and it emerges as a mistake; this is very useful to know. Words forgotten, or even mispronounced, are helpful tools for them to see where they need to rethink a moment or adjust a performance. If something is wrong, assume it is actor's fault. This forces them to examine their performance in detail, and it now means that they are the right person in the right place to do something about it. There must be a reason why actors screwed up, and instead of spending their energies splashing around begging forgiveness, spend a little time instead on wondering why it was that their brain came up with those differences or why they forgot those lines. Particularly notice if actor's come up with something weird or completely inappropriate, because even though it might be ridiculous, it might also be a major insight into presenting that scene.
