ABSTRACT

Actors are so close to it that they probably see modern acting as a truthful reflection of real life. In 1950s, when a brand-new form of reality acting burst on world, which was declared to be the most truthful form of acting ever to be seen and everyone should emulate it. Style is only a response to the type of theatre everyone goes to, the type of play that is popular, the type of theatre the audience sits in, and the political and social conditions of society in which everyone lives at that time, whether it is early log cabin America or modern skyscraper life. It is now almost standard to have microphones amplifying what the actors are saying, and certainly it is now standard to have microphones on all the performers in a musical. As the demands of the contemporary world vary, with domestic television sets now having stereo sound and everyone soon having wide screens and surround sound.
