ABSTRACT

This chapter talks about actor's survival. If actors are suddenly asked to do a job, train themself to answer that they have something penciled in their diary, but they would love to learn more about the project. If it turns out that they really do not want to do it, then the penciled clash can become an unmovable obstacle, but they really hope they will ask for them again in the future. If the job turns out to be something they really want to do, then they can tell them that they are cancelling their previous possible engagement, and that will make them feel even better about them than before. If actors are asked for a job that they have moral objections to, such as advertising cigarettes, then do not tell them they have moral objections, tell them they have a penciled clashing date, but that they really want to come and meet them anyway.
