A newspaper review or magazine article (even from a tiny, unknown publication) is also the perfect thing to photocopy and hand out to promote your show. Be sure to print clearly the place and times of any upcoming performances on the page, along with a contact number. And might I suggest that when photocopying, you use something other than a white paper stock. In your offical promotional package you always should use only white stock, because agencies and the media routinely make several copies of whatever they receive (white copies better). But for handouts or even press releases, a little color lends cachet to your show. This is especially so during a festival, where the majority of the handouts people receive are on boring, cheap white paper. Spend a few extra bucks and make a better impression.
