ABSTRACT

Uncle Herniation, Aunt Fossa, and their nephew, Peter Falx (an intern at Charity Hospital), go to Bourbon Street. After two Hurricanes (strong alcoholic drinks), Aunt Fossa complains of severe dizziness and falls to the floor. Her pupils are pinpoint but appear not to respond to iced vodka and tonic squirted in each ear (the local version of the iced water caloric test). Her breathing is gasping at times, then trails off. Sometimes she extends all extremities in decerebrate posture.
