Increasing effective communication using a total communication approach

This is the case study of a 58-year-old man, TS, who, functionally, had no understanding of the spoken word and whose sole verbal utterance was an expletive. He had a few poorly developed communication strategies, and presented as depressed, negative, and often angry.
