ABSTRACT

This chapter outlines the nature and content of the approach adopted in Dundee for the teaching of comparative planning in France. This approach has been described by Williams as an ‘integrated package’. The elements of the package comprise a lecture course and associated practical work, language courses, a field trip and the related research of the author. Each of the elements will be discussed separately below, but as a starting point, the way in which the lecture course relates to the BSc course as a whole will be described.
