ABSTRACT
Environmental analysis is the regular process of examining trends and conditions in the library’s environment in order to identify pressures for change. This environment includes:
• the ‘macro environment’ or outside world in general
• the library and information science sector • the library’s ‘market’ of users and competitors • the library’s parent organisation • the library itself.
