ABSTRACT
The majority of resources encountered on the Web are written in a language called HTML, or HyperText Markup Language. Writing simple HTML documents is easy and requires no programming expertise. This chapter details the elements common to all HTML documents, describes how to construct a basic Web page, and gives pointers to further reading. It also tells you how to discover whether your HTML is written correctly.
