ABSTRACT
The field of robotics has been developing in Poland for about 15 years. This development is characterized by an increase in the number of industrial robots manufactured and installed in Polish industry, and by qualitative progress in research and development efforts in advanced manufacturing technology. An overview of some more significant research and design studies on robotics in Poland is presented in the first part of this chapter.
