ABSTRACT
The Robotics Institute of America (RIA) defines a robot as a manipulator designed to move material, parts, tools, or specialized devices through variable programmed motions for the performance of a variety of tasks. The Industrial Robot (IR) is controlled by a software program that enables a robot moving at various speeds along many axes (up to eight) to reach a predetermined location.
